The path along Orby View and Glencairn Chase will be connected to Glencairn View and the Glencairn Luas station over the next few weeks. Park Development will shortly commence construction of a new shared cycleway in the green area opposite Glencairn View. The construction will link the existing shared cycleway, which currently terminates at opposite ends of the green space, and provide continuity for pedestrians and cyclists as required by the planning permission. Please refer to attachment Figure 1 for design layout, for your information.
The works are due to begin on or around the 13th of September and be completed by 15th November, with working hours between 8:00-18:00 Monday-Friday.
As the green area is currently being used by pedestrians and cyclists as a link between the existing shared cycleways, they have developed a pedestrian management plan, Figure 2 in attachment, that will be in place during construction phases. Please note, no works will take place on the roadway. Park Development has also done a letter drop to the residents within close proximity of this work zone.
