Despite the challenging weather this morning, there was a great turnout for tree planting, Residents of the estate, councilors, members of the residents association, and council workers worked together to make it a success
EirGrid, develops, manages, and operates Ireland’s electricity grid. Dublin’s electricity is aging and EirGrid plans to install over 50km of cables across Dublin to replace existing cables that are coming to their end of life. Members of the GRA have met with representatives from Park Developments and DLRCC, it was established that the council is responsible for the strip of land alongside the M50 at the Orby field. The council has committed to repairing the broken wall and cleaning up any rubbish that has been dumped there.
Dlr Parks are planning to go ahead with the planting of a small community woodland in Orby Park on Sat 1st April (previously canceled due to a weather warning).
