Members of the GRA have met with representatives from Park Developments and DLRCC, it was established that the council is responsible for the strip of land alongside the M50 at the Orby field. The council has committed to repairing the broken wall and cleaning up any rubbish that has been dumped there.
Dlr Parks are planning to go ahead with the planting of a small community woodland in Orby Park on Sat 1st April (previously canceled due to a weather warning). Thank you to everyone who raised their concerns regarding the proposed development at the site of Mugg Ugly, following these observations an objection to planning permission was submitted by the Residents Association which was well received. Subsequently planning for this proposed development was denied. Please see attached for more details.
Some early risers this morning from the GRA have been busy gritting Glencairn Road, together with other residents. Thanks to Kevin and his son Tom (12) and also Gary for taking the initiative. Requests have also been made to refill the grit boxes asap.
