Our monthly estate clean-ups

We organise monthly estate clean-ups in the Gallops and very much appreciate your help. We choose one Saturday each month which is always published on our blog about a week in advance. Ideally, sign up for our email alert, then we send you a quick email whenever we publish any news. You can find the sign-up button on the right side of this page on a laptop or on the bottom of the page on mobile devices (you can unsubscribe at any time).

What time and where?

All clean-ups are held on Saturdays, we meet next to the tennis courts in the park and usually start at 10.30am. Some weeks we have a fabulous turn-out from local residents showing great community spirit and the extra helping hands make a huge difference to the area. Thank you so much for helping us, it’s greatly appreciated!

Please note that we’ll be there from 10.30-11.00am sharp – we only ask for half an hour of your time. We highlight this because unfortunately, we sometimes have people arriving to help when we are packing up the bags.

Time doesn’t suit?

If 10.30am is too late for you, you can pick up litter in the morning and leave the bag next to the compactor bin at the tennis court for us to collect.

As mentioned, all we need is half an hour of your time to help pick up some litter in a particular area. Depending on numbers, we clean as much of the estate as possible.

Of course, we are Covid compliant, we will be socially distancing, all equipment is sanitised and hand sanitiser is available, please just ask a member of the committee.

Who can help?

Everybody is very welcome! If you have kids then bring them along too as we have always found them to be some of our most enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers! Dogs are very welcome too.

We will have a supply of gloves, pickers and bags. Please sign up to our email alert to stay up-to-date and we hope to see you there.
