One of our residents got in touch yesterday with the photo below. This is what she picked up in her front garden while giving the grass its first cut. These face masks were found in addition to ‘the usual’ dog poo bags.
As you know, due to current restrictions we are not in a position to organise any estate cleanups, but would really like to urge people to please clean up after themselves and especially to not drop any masks or dog poo bags, neither on private property nor anywhere else.
Someone has to clean it all up, it would be nice if everybody could do their little bit.
On this note, we would also like to thank the people who do their own little clean up every few weeks in the estate. There is someone who cleans up the laneway regularly, a lady who picks rubbish from the hedges at the laneway across from Levmoss, and some others who pick up bottles and other rubbish around the field from time to time.
Your efforts make such a great difference to everyone using the park and living in the estate – thank you!

Another additional observation I would make is when bins are put out, especially green bins, to ensure the lids are put down as much as possible and lids angled with the wind – there is a phenomenal amount of rubbish comes out of the bins on bin day and blows into neighbouring gardens and around the estate.

That’s a good point if bin lids could be angled with the wind and bins not be overfilled I think we could avoid a lot of rubbish in the estate. And if rubbish gets blown over the road and people’s gardens, it would be nice if it could be picked up as soon as discovered by the bin owner. We are such a small lovely estate, we should look out for each other. Thanks for your comment.
