We received a message today from a resident in the Gallops, that he unfortunately left his car unlocked last night and someone went through it. Thankfully there was nothing to take, but we just wanted to send out a reminder to double check that your car is locked every night (and your house door of course)! It very rarely happens that he forgets to lock his car, so it’s quite likely they’ve been around not just last night.
One more thing, another neighbour mentioned, was to wipe down his car, considering the epidemic. They probably tried numerous car doors on the street, it’s likely they wore gloves, but worth wiping them all down, just in case.

- Wherever you park your car or van, take your property with you.
- Ensure your vehicle is locked, alarmed and parked in a secure, well-lit location.
- Store your keys safely, away from windows and letterboxes.
